Backyard Passage (11 minutes, Single Channel Video in HD, 2010-13) is a time-lapse video that explores the transition of seasons in a backyard in Rochester, New York. Edited down from over 20,000 photographs, the condensing of time allows the viewer to reconsider humanity’s relationship to nature’s cycles. The rapidity of this work creates tension, but that tension creates a space for the viewer to see anew the rhythms of nature and its relationship to the human pace of life.
